Summer/Fall 2020 Lodging

Lodging available for Families & Individuals

PLEASE NOTE: ALL CABINS ARE BOOKED until after labor day; we still have some availability in our Conference Center suites (see below).  If you submitted an inquiry and have not heard from us, we hope to get to you soon.  We are moving through requests on a first-come/first-served basis.

Rock Point Commons is pleased to announce that we are able to offer lodging for families and individuals this summer.  This unusual opportunity is made possible because our summer camp was sadly canceled due to COVID-19.  Instead, we are renting camp cabins and two Conference Center suites as "Staycation" opportunities for Vermonters and neighbors who can meet COVID restrictions.

While we are sad to not see the hustle and bustle of our children at camp, we hope that this opportunity brings life to Rock Point and allows families a chance to recreate with each other after a difficult spring.

All lodging rentals at Rock Point include access to the trail system on our 130 acre property as well as access to two beachfront areas (not available for swimming to day visitors).  You are welcome to invite friends to come enjoy the trails and outdoor areas, but guests are not allowed inside the building or cabin, nor are they allowed at our small beachfront access.

PLEASE REVIEW COVID GUIDELINES AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE BEFORE REQUESTING A LODGING RESERVATION.  Things are changing regularly, and we will try to keep the most up-to-date information available on this page.

Rock Point Cabins

BOOKED UNTIL AFTER LABOR DAY

The Cabins at Rock Point are rustic camper cabins with bunk beds, private bathrooms, seating areas, and minimal food preparation amenities.  We have four cabins that surround a central fire pit and are a short walk from the Lake via our trail system.  Two of these Cabins (Bliss & Weeks) are available for single family rentals.

About the Cabins

Each cabin offers the following amenities:

  • 6-night rental begins on Friday afternoon and ends on Thursday morning;

  • Cabins each have one private bedroom with bunk beds + a common area with bunk beds, table & chairs, and sitting area;

  • Cabins have a private bathroom with two sinks, two toilets, and shower stalls;

  • Hot and cold running water;

  • Wood stove for chilly nights;

  • Mini fridge, microwave, double hot plate, and utensils in each cabin;

  • Keurig available (bring your own pods);

  • Access to propane grill and stone fire pit for evening campfires;

  • Access to all Rock Point trails, swimming areas (normally restricted to Rock Point programs), and waterfront picnic areas.

Guests can bring their own linens and towels, or they can be provided by Rock Point for $20/person for the full week.

One well-behaved pet is allowed per cabin; dogs must be leashed at all times on Rock Point Property and trails.

Cabin Rental Fees

Cabins are rented from Friday - Thursday (6 nights) for a fee of $650.

There is a discount available for members of Episcopal Congregations in Vermont or families who had planned on registering for camp.  Please contact us to learn more.

Rental Period & Cleaning

Our 6-night rental time period is designed to ensure that a 24hr period is available to clean and sanitize the cabin before the next family arrives. All cabin amenities will be thoroughly sanitized before your arrival, but housekeeping services will not be available during your stay.

Cabins will be available from June 12 - October 1

Guest Numbers

Rental is only available for a SINGLE FAMILY of up to 6 or 8 people (Bliss Cabin has 8 beds). You may not share your cabin with another family or invite other guests into the cabin during your stay. Other families may visit to hike on the trails or for small gatherings outdoors, but use of our waterfront amenities is limited to your family.

Cooking

Due to sanitation requirements around COVID-19, we cannot allow multiple families to share common cooking areas, so bear this in mind when meal planning. You will have a small refrigerator, camp stove, and microwave. You will also have use of the outdoor fire pit (on a rotating basis with other families) for cooking; please bring your own pots, pans, dishes, and utensils for outdoor cooking (compostable dishware can be provided at a minimal cost upon request). All dishes should be cleaned outdoors using a provided dish bucket and soap. Please do not use bathroom sinks for dishes. Rock Point is very close to Hannaford’s Market, so access to groceries is very convenient. There are also a multitude of restaurants nearby both in the North End where we are located and in downtown Burlington.
