Rock Point Intentional Community conducted its second Introductory Wisdom School the first weekend in November with Marcella Kraybill-Greco serving as facilitator, and the school’s planning team as collaborative teachers. Again, it was widely and enthusiastically received by the two dozen participants! There is a strong and growing interest in Wisdom teachings and practices in Vermont, as well as the rest of the country, and we’re excited to be able to serve as a central supporting point for it.
This school focused on three-centered knowing … spiritual awareness that engages not only the intellectual center (mind), but the emotional center (heart) and moving center (body), with practices that helped participants develop the second two in particular.
Planning for more schools/retreats will begin in January and in the meantime our Wisdom Practice Circles continue on the first Monday of each month from 5-7 pm and the fourth Thursday of each month from 7-9 pm. Both are at the Bishop Booth Conference Center’s Kerr Building. Everyone is welcome, whether you already have a regular meditation practice and any experience with Wisdom or not. If you are on the Rock Point Intentional Community (RPIC) Mailing List, you will always receive notice of any Wisdom activities at Rock Point You can also find out more information at our website https://www.rockpointvt.org/, or on the Northeast Wisdom website, https://northeastwisdom.org/
