MEET OUR TEAM
Kelly Kimball (she/her)
Executive Director
Kelly joined Rock Point Commons as Executive Director in November 2022. A long-time admirer of Rock Point and a resident of Burlington’s New North End, she feels deeply grateful to work on this land and alongside this community-minded team.
Kelly brings over two decades of experience in international development, with a focus on supporting civic engagement and social inclusion. She is energized by the variety each day brings—whether it’s wrestling with spreadsheets, welcoming hikers, collecting sap, or helping move the sheep to new pasture.
After years of globally focused work, Kelly is delighted to turn her attention to her local community, both through her role at Rock Point Commons and as board chair for the Parks Foundation of Burlington. She lives nearby with her family—including a daughter who has grown up exploring Rock Point—and their dog Nimby, a devoted Rock Point adventurer.

Tyler Pastorok (they/he)
Naturalist, Land Stewardship & Program Leader
Tyler joined the team as part-time seasonal help in 2022 and has been with us year-round ever since. They quickly became a pillar of the team, bringing Rock Point Commons’ mission to life through land stewardship and education.
Tyler is a life-long learner with a passion for sharing stories and skills of the land. They host our Full Moon Ceremonies, the Reading Rock Point class, and Rock Point Community Homestead. You’re likely to find them out working in the gardens, sharing natural history on the trails, or burning the midnight oil in the maple sugar-shack in March.
Lorna Dielentheis (she/her)
Naturalist, Communications & Program Leader
Lorna is a naturalist, artist, science communicator, and writer. She began working with Rock Point in 2024 as a consultant and is now a staff member. She manages communications and assists with exhibit design and community programming. Her work can be seen throughout the Center: she illustrated the interpretive panels, trail pass, and more.
In her free time Lorna enjoys immersing herself in nature. She is passionate about sharing what she learns and writes about her various nature adventures on her blog.

Lachlan Ziegler (he/him)
Bird Walk Leader
Lachlan joins Rock Points team as the bird walk leader. With a background in experiential outdoor teaching and landscaping/ gardening, he has always been fascinated learning about the flora and fauna he works alongside. Whether it's knee deep wading out to sandbars through Lake Champlain in September, or tiptoeing on creaky bog boardwalks of the Northeast Kingdom in May, he spends the majority of his free time searching for plants and wildlife throughout the state. While indoors Lachlan enjoys bowling, eating pizza, and snuggling on the couch with his dog Rue.
Charlotte Song (they/them)
Visitor Center Guide
Charlotte is a current University of Vermont student studying Environmental Science. They joined the team in 2026 as a weekend Visitor Guide at the Rock Point Center.
They are passionate about nature and love being outside observing local ecology. In their free time they enjoy kayaking, hiking, sailing, or adventuring somewhere outdoors. When summer rolls around you can find Charlotte sailing tallships along the East Coast.
They are excited to engage with the local community and continue to learn about Rock Points' natural history.

Starting at the Rock Point Center as an intern in January, she is excited to help educate visitors of all ages and get them out on the trails! In her free time, Ashlyn loves to ski with friends, go thrifting, and spend as much time outdoors as she can even in the winter.
